Lyme disease is one of the most common tick-borne diseases in the United States and growing!

Here are some helpful tips to reduce your risk of Lyme disease:

  • Wear light-colored clothing to help you keep an eye on any ticks that may attach to your clothing. Tuck your pants legs into your socks. On all exposed skin, use Deet or any EPA-approved tick repellent.
  • For extra protection, treat your clothing, footwear, and gear with Summit® Green Armor Insect Repellent.
  • When returning, immediately put your clothes in the dryer and run it on high heat for 10 minutes to kill any ticks. Take a shower to help wash off any unattached ticks and do a thorough body tick check.
  • Keep the lawn mowed and clear tall grass and brush from around the house and edge of the lawn.
  • Apply Summit® Tick & Flea spray to ivy, grasses, brush, shrubs, and trees to kill hiding ticks.
